Weekend in the Cotswolds
Broadway Tower, Worcestershire, Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is an absolute must see while visiting England. Less than a two hour drive from London, this region is unspoiled by the hustle and bustle of city life. The summer time can bring more crowds with tourism, but there are so many different areas of the Cotswolds that you can visit to make your worth while. We stayed in Stow in the Wold. A charming old farm town rich in character. There are antiques shops galore, wonderful pubs, restaurants and the most quaint Air bnb's, Bed and Breakfasts to choose from. If you love the quietness of the countryside, farm animals, and hiking then this area is for you! There are several little towns that make up the Cotswolds district; Stow in the Wold, Morton on the Marsh, Bourton on the water, Chippen Camden and Lower and Upper Slaughter. We took a 6 mile hike from Stow in the Wold to Lower Slaughter and ended up at Bourton on the Water. It was such a fun day walking through the rolling pastures, creeks and looking at all of the amazing estate homes along the way.
